Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of dining at Frisch’s Big Boy and attending The Nutcracker at The Aronoff Center. It was the perfect way to spend a holiday evening.
Frisch’s Family Dinner meals tasted just like a home cooked meal. It was nice to “indulge” a bit with samples of meatloaf, country fried steak, country fried chicken, fried chicken and roast beef, paired with dinner rolls, green beans and mashed potatoes. Don’t forget the gravy! It reminded me of the food my mother cooked when I was a kid. These family dinners are available for only $7.99.
Of course, the best part was dessert. Frisch’s has premiered a NEW Peppermint Flavored Hot Fudge Cake available for a limited time only until February 7. This is the VERY FIRST TIME that Frisch’s has changed the flavor of the signature Hot Fudge Cake since it premiered in the 1970’s.
If you’re a loyalist to the classic, don’t worry, they have both the Peppermint Flavor and the signature Hot Fudge available for only $3.29. However, if you love peppermint treats, you can’t go wrong with this Peppermint Hot Fudge Cake. Chocolate syrup, peppermint ice cream, whipped cream and crunchy bits of candy cane make this an unforgettable treat.
Here’s what it felt like taking a bite of the Peppermint Hot Fudge Cake:
Frisch’s Restaurants have been a primary sponsor of the Cincinnati Ballet since it’s very first performance of The Nutcracker in 1974. It is actually one of the longest lasting corporate sponsorships in the history of American arts. The Nutcracker Ballet is such a wonderful part of the holiday season here in Cincinnati and I’m grateful for companies like Frisch’s who help the arts flourish. As part of that partnership, Frisch’s worked with members of the Cincinnati Ballet to launch Frisch’s first-ever holiday edition of its best-selling hot fudge cake. What better way to kick off the launch of the Peppermint Hot Fudge Cake than with the Land of Sweets?
When you visit The Aronoff Center for Frisch’s Presents The Nutcracker, you’ll even be greeted by the Big Boy! Be sure to snag a picture with him for a chance to win a Frisch’s gift card. Just tag @frischsbigboy in your photo on Instagram or Facebook with #Tutugood and #CBNutcracker to be entered in the contest.
If you’re able to see The Nutcracker this year, I highly suggest it. The set was gorgeous, the dancers were outstanding and the show had a few fun twists to keep it fresh.
I hope to make it a part of my Christmas tradition here in Cincinnati. I’m also hoping Frisch’s makes the Peppermint Hot Fudge Cake a seasonal tradition too! ?
If you know a Frisch’s fan, you can also find them some fun goodies in store that would make perfect stocking stuffers for Christmas or just a great gift anytime. These coin banks are too cute!
What’s your favorite holiday tradition? Have you seen The Nutcracker? Do you love Peppermint flavored desserts this time of year too? Let me know in the comments below.
*Thanks to Frisch’s Big Boy for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
