I highly recommend checking them out. You can get some treats here, coffee at Trailhead and then wander down to the Levee.

I AM A MAN. When Black sanitation workers in Mem I AM A MAN. When Black sanitation workers in Memphis took to the streets in March 1968, they carried signs stating: I AM A MAN. The purpose of the strike and march was to take a stand in favor of fair wages and better working conditions after the death of two sanitation employees, Echol Cole and Robert Walker. This strike was a focal point of the Civil Rights Movement and Dr. King joined to show his support. This is where he gave his last speech, “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop.” He was killed the next day. The "I am a Man" Plaza is located next to Clayborn Temple in Memphis. The area includes a sculpture along with a wall listing the names of those who participated in the strikes. We’ve come far, but there is still more to be done. #MLKDay

5 Reasons to Try the Ellie Box

If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve likely seen my latest obsession: The Ellie Box. It’s a subscription box that delivers a full workout outfit and accessories to your doorstep every month. Here’s 5 reasons I love the Ellie box.

It’s a great deal. You’ll receive 5 workout items for only $49.95. Typically, this includes workout pants or capris, a top, sports bra plus an accessory and piece of equipment. I’ve purchased sports bras alone that have been $30+ so to receive an entire outfit plus accessories is an amazing deal.

It’s flexible. You can see what items are included in the box before you receive it and then you have the option to skip that month if you’d like. You can also update the Ellie team and let them know of any size changes you need made in between months.

The quality is great. I despise uncomfortable or low quality workout clothes. Really, nothing ruins a workout quicker than leggings that don’t fit right or a top that’s uncomfortable. So far, with my 3 Ellie boxes, I haven’t had any issues with the clothing items I’ve received and found them all to be great quality. In my experience, the items are true to size. I’ve also found all the sports bras very comfortable and supportive which is SO crucial.

There’s no one size fits all. I know I’m not the only who wears a different size top, bottom and sports bra. With Ellie box, I was able to select the size I need for each different item and so far everything has been a perfect fit.

It’s motivating. I used to always wear ratty t-shirts and mismatched pants to the gym. Now, I have cute outfits to wear that always match (without being too matchy-matchy lol) and it’s really been boosting my motivation and confidence. I’m always looking forward to the next cute outfit that I can wear to the gym.

You can sign up for an Ellie box or learn more here.

Leave a comment below to let me know how you stay motivated for the gym too!

Discover casual, chic and affordable workout & fitness clothing with the Ellie box. Here’s my review of the monthly Ellie box that sends you a full workout outfit plus accessories for under $50. You’ll look forward to your workout in these cute fitness clothes.
