These Heart-Shaped Cinnamon Rolls couldn’t be any easier. All you need is your favorite packaged cinnamon rolls and whatever extra sprinkles or toppings you’d like to add. The final presentation is so fun and colorful they are sure to brighten up any brunch or breakfast. These heart-shaped cinnamon rolls are perfect for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, birthday or just because. I’ll break down the process step-by-step below.

I used Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Cinnabon Frosting. However, you can grab whichever brand you prefer. And if you go with the flaky cinnamon rolls you’ll actually get the cinnamon rolls that are “rolled” up in the can which will make the below process even easier.

When I opened up my can of cinnamon rolls and realized it wasn’t that “rolled-up” kind I was a little frustrated and almost went back to the store to pick up a different package. But, I figured most of us will probably grab the same kind of can as me, so I wanted to give it a try and see how they worked for this recipe. Turns out, they work just fine. I mean, cinnamon rolls are going to be delicious regardless, right?!

Step One:
Open can and separate the rolls. Take one roll and “unroll” the dough to form a long skinny piece. Then take that piece and roll the two ends inward to create the top of the heart. Shape the rest of the dough and form a “V” shape at the bottom. Be sure to pinch the bottom piece so it holds that “V” shape.

Repeat with all of the rolls and place on a greased baking sheet.

Step Two:
Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. This was about 10 minutes for me, but I think my gas stove runs pretty hot. Make sure you keep an eye on them while baking.

Remove from the oven and allow the rolls to sit for about 5 minutes. When the rolls are super hot the frosting sort of melts away. (I learned this the hard way! ha)

Step Three:
Once they’ve cooled slightly, drizzle all the icing on top of the rolls. I prefer to drizzle right out of the container, but you could use a spoon or knife to neatly cover the rolls with the icing.

Step Four:
Immediately after, add the sprinkles! I went all out with the sprinkles. I had a Valentine’s theme multi-pack of sprinkles from TJ Maxx so I used the heart-shaped, lips-shaped and regular sprinkles in white, pink and red all over the rolls. I added a dark chocolate drizzle to some of the rolls too. You could get creative here with the toppings and add powdered sugar, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, cake frosting and more.

That’s all there is to it! I hope you enjoy.

These heart-shaped cinnamon rolls are so easy. They come together in under 30 minutes with just two ingredients and make a great Valentine's Day treat.
