Hi allI have a Logitech Anywhere MX mouse which I purchased many years ago and really enjoy working with. On the next screen you can easily manage your devices. Another uses case is where you have multiple mice and keyboard pair for your laptop. Logitech introduced a new set of receivers, known as Unifying Receivers. That’s clearly 4 receivers to take care of and manage everyday. The mice aren’t that expensive but I hated the idea of tossing one just because the receiver went missing so I did a little checking. Upon confirmation, the spare that you need to have is a Unifying receiver. Thank you for reaching Logitech! I bought a new M720 mouse that I would like to use on my desktop and laptop. If you have further inquiry, please do not hesitate to reach back to us or contact our support team for direct assistance.
Mac® OS X Users: When plugging in the Unifying receiver, the Keyboard Assistant window may appear. Your mouse is now ready for use. It is available for Windows (XP or later), Mac and Chrome OS. Turn off all devices (keyboards and mouse). The only universal wireless peripheral protocol is Bluetooth. Logitech has an easy to use unifying software which allows you to connect multiple Logitech products using the same receiver. That’s it! Email me when somebody replies to my comment. Follow the instructions.
It was worth a try I guess. This utility functions much like the unifying software; it requests that you turn the mouse off and on again so it can detect the signal and then asks you to verify that the mouse is working again. Using a different one will not make it work. All these RF devices work on the same limited frequencies. Unifying devices are capable of pairing to a single receiver at the same time. Next up, open the Unifying software. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links.

Logitech’s Unifying technology enables you to replace those easily-lost wireless receivers and maybe even free up a USB port.
I have paired the new M720 to the laptop but it won't pair with the desktop unifying receiver. One, that you want to leave at work and the other at home. Just download and install the Logitech Unifying Software.
Once you have a unifying receiver, the next step is to get it to recognize your existing mouse or keyboard.
